Portland Culinary Workshop

So I have been sick for the last two weeks and haven't had much extra time to do anything.
Blah.
I am finally feeling better and have energy to get things done.

Today, I was able to do the dishes, laundry, clean the shower and clean up all the mouse poop under our sink.
That's right, mouse poop.

A few days ago when I was taking out the trash I noticed tiny, brown, rice-like droppings scattered underneath the sink. So we cleaned it up and took out all the stinky trash and put some mouse poison under there for them to nibble on.

Today when I opened the trash, I noticed more mouse poop and a pee stench. Awesome. So I cleaned the crap out of the sink area and prepared a crock pot dinner (not at the same time of course).
So I am feeling a pretty accomplished today.

Anywho, A couple weeks ago me and the hubs celebrated our Anniversary. His mom was so kind to watch our lovely-little-baby-Ry for a few hours while we hit the town. I surprised Sean with a trip to Portland (which he claims he still had no idea about).

We got to our destination a little early and decided to get some quick drinks at Cascade Brewing. I'm not much of a drinker, (especially when it comes to beer) but let me tell you, these were delicious! I chose a strawberry and blueberry taster, the strawberry was my favorite.

Then we went to the Portland Culinary Workshop and cooked ourselves up some dinner.
We watch Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef all the time and Sean really enjoys cooking, so I thought it would be so fun to cook dinner together under professional instruction.
I mean so 'Hitch' right?

Unfortunately, I forgot the after photos of the amazing meal we cooked. But the peach crostini with gruyere was our fav!

We had fun and met some really cool couples. So if you are looking for a fun date night with your significant other, you should totally google cooking classes in your city.

Happy Day

It's me and the Mr.'s 2nd wedding anniversary today. We are celebrating this weekend with a surprise date for him, planned by me. Last year he did the planning, this year it was my turn.

I'm pretty excited about our date night and although it's a surprise, I'm pretty sure he checked our bank statement and already has a pretty good idea of what is planned. He is like that anxious kid weeks before Christmas, searching the house for his Christmas presents.

But regardless, we will have a great time.

Happy Anniversary to us! Cheers!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Have you heard of BlogLovin? It's a pretty neat site where you can follow your favorite blogs. Which, I've been addicted to reading blogs lately. It really helps pass the time while I'm pumping (because those of us who do, know that it's a drag).

Happy Saturday People!

'Shots shots shots shots shots shots'

Nope, not like the shots in the LMFAO song, but actual shots. Today was baby-Ry's 2 month check and she did pretty well. Me on the other hand, not so much. I cried the last time she got a shot so I made my hubs hold her hands this time.

Once we got her home, she pretty much slept the whole day.

Oh how peaceful she looks while she's sleeping. Love her to pieces!

'My Fiona'

Last week I started getting back into my workout routine. I was so excited to put on my workout clothes and I couldn't wait to sweat like a pig. I just love that feeling of pushing yourself till you feel like you might vomit and getting my sweat on makes me feel like I've had a really good workout.

I do these bootcamps which are 30 minute workouts with a trainer and a group of other people who like to get their sweat on. My workout was going great until I had to start running. I thought my regular old sports bra was going to cut it but man was it uncomfortable.
I eventually was holding them down with my forearms as I ran, which those of you ladies who have tried this technique know that it is not conducive to a workout. Plus, you just feel and look like an idiot.

So I searched the interweb for a new bra to hold my girls in place and let me tell you, this bra is
amaz-ing!
The price got me at first and I was a little skeptical to say the least, but it seriously is worth every penny! I ordered mine from zappos because of their awesome shipping policy.

I figured what's the worst that could happen? I hate the bra and then ship it back for FREE. OR I love the bra and keep it FOREVER.

I chose the latter of course.
